âSoy Milk Clam Chowder</p>
<p>â Ingredients<br />
1 can (85g) of asari clams boiled in water<br />
1 slice of bacon<br />
1/4 onion<br />
1/4 carrot (50g)<br />
1/2 stalk celery<br />
2 teaspoons flour<br />
1 cup unadjusted soy milk<br />
10 g butter<br />
1/8 teaspoon salt<br />
pepper, parsley (chopped), to taste</p>
<p>â How to make<br />
ã1ãCut onion, carrot and celery into 1cm cubes.<br />
Cut bacon into 1 cm pieces.</p>
<p>ã2ãHeat butter in a saucepan over medium heat, add 1 and saute.<br />
When the vegetables become transparent, add flour and saute.</p>
<p>ã3ãWhen the flour is gone, add 150ml of water and the canned scallions with their juice.<br />
Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.</p>
<p>ã4ãWhen vegetables are tender, add soy milk, salt and pepper.<br />
When warm, taste and serve.<br />
Sprinkle with parsley. Garnish with a crispy baguette, if desired.</p>
