【Ingredients】Juice of 4 oranges
4 fresh oranges Juice
500g orange juice, plus juice
60g sugar
7.5g powdered gelatin
2 oranges
【Preparation】
・Wash oranges well and blot dry with kitchen paper.
【How to make】
①Cut 1/3 of the way through the stem. Cut a knife along the edge of the peel and take out the inside.
②Use a hollowing out tool (or a small spoon) to carefully hollow out the peel little by little so as not to break the peel. Leave the center part as it is because it will have a hole if you remove it.
※If a hole is made in the bottom, slowly put in the bottom to prevent tearing with the cut end and plug the hole.
③Put the hollowed out fruit and juice into a colander. When all four pieces are done, clean around the peel with kitchen paper and put them on top of the cellulose so that they will not spill out when the jelly liquid is poured out.
④Calcify the oranges. Cut a bunch of oranges along the peel, cut one in half, and refrigerate the other half for decoration. Chop up the remaining pulp around the peel of the oranges and place them in a colander.
※If you are not used to this, peel the rind on a cutting board.
⑤Squeeze the juice out of the removed fruit until there is no juice left. If it is difficult to use a rubber spatula, use a wooden spatula.
⑥Measure the squeezed juice and if it is less than 500g, add 100% orange juice and transfer a portion (100cc) to a small bowl. Add sugar and mix well.
⑦Heat in microwave oven at 600w for about 50 seconds to dissolve the sugar that has settled to the bottom of the bowl. Sprinkle in the powdered gelatin and mix well.
⑧Transfer the gelatin mixture to a slightly larger bowl and add the remaining orange juice a little at a time.
⑨Pour the jelly into an orange bowl filled with cut oranges and refrigerate for 3 hours to harden.
Place the lid of the bowl in the refrigerator with the inside of the lid facing up so that it does not dry out.
※The amount of jelly liquid will vary depending on the size of the oranges, so pour the remainder into a glass or other container to harden.
⑩When cooled and hardened, top with cut oranges for decoration.
