If you love a good spicy poke bowl, you’re gonna love this dish. This recipe is inspired from a dish I had in the Tsukiji Fish Market in Japan a long time ago.
Ingredients:
2 slabs of sushi grade Ahi Tuna (about 6 oz each)- diced
1 cup cooked rice
1/2 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp garlic paste
1 tsp Gochujang
1.5 tsp chili garlic sauce
1 bundle green onions (chopped, 3/4 to mix in, 1/4 as a topping)
3-4 shiso leaves
2-3 tbsp creamy sesame dressing
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (crushed in mortar)
1 tsp chili garlic crisp
1 egg yolk (optional)
In a large bowl add the diced Ahi tuna, sesame oil, garlic paste, chili garlic sauce, Gochujang, 3/4 chopped green onions, crushed toasted sesame seeds, and sesame dressing. Mix well. On a bed of rice (make sure to let rice cool down a bit before adding the raw ahi on top) add the spicy ahi tuna mixture, chop up some shiso leaves as a topping and the rest of the green onions as well.
