Poke is a Hawaiin dish that’s also popular in Japan!
It’s a simple dish that only requires you to roughly cut the ingredients and mix them into a bowl.
This time I made it with bonito and tuna.
Bonito has a good balance of amino acids and is high in protein. I recommend adding bonito to anybody interested in adding more protein to their diet.
Ingredients:
500 grams Diced cut chicken
1 big size Onion
Onion leeks(optional)
Mitsuba ( parsley optional )
5~6 Eggs
1/4 cup sake
1/4 cup mirin
1/4 soy sauce
1 tbsp cooking oil
1/2 tsp salt and pepper
Oyakodon (親子丼)literally means “parent-and-child rice bowl”This Japanese classic is a comforting rice bowl dish, in which pieces of chicken , egg, sliced spring onions and white onions, and other ingredients are all simmered together in a sauce and then served on top of a large bowl of rice. The name of the dish is a poetic reflection of the fact that both chicken and egg are used in the dish.
This quick and easy delicious Oyakodon is a slightly different version of our previous Oyakodon. The soft and silky egg is very delicious. The egg yolk makes it even smoother
